First of all, make sure to install the latest drivers, and version of Sound Blaster Z Control Panel. When outputting over SPDIF (Sound Blaster Z), I selected 'No Encoder' in Sound Blaster Z Control Panel, and enable the Dolby Digital setting on the speakers themselves (there's a button to toggle it on or off).
Hi.
I´m getting real tired of having to reinstall my SBZ drivers every time my Windows 10 Home edition makes an automatic update.
Because the updates are so frequent, I have to reinstall my Sound Blaster Z soundcard several time every week. Is this the way it´s supposed to be???
I have been in touch with Creative Labs but there seems to be nothing they can do about it. Why does my OS feel the need to replace my SBZ with anything else? At first the automatic update replaced my SBZ drivers with Recon 3D drivers then I uninstalled the windows recon 3d drivers from my system and reinstalled the SBZ drivers and it worked until next automatic update. The next time an automatic update was made windows chose to use some generic 2HD driver instead of SBZ so I had to reinstall SBZ again and uninstalled the generic 2HD driver. Now today after the last update Windows decides to use my TV as sound output instead of my SBZ and I had to reinstall the SBZ drivers again.
Creative Sound Blaster Drivers For Windows …
Every time Windows behaves like this the SBZ dissapears from device manager so it´s not just to choose it again, I have to reistall it from scratch every time to make it work.
